Get Running in 30 Minutes

Your 30-day free trial starts now. This guide skips everything optional and gets you to the three things that matter most: your studio in the system, your first client checked in, and your first appointment on the books.

You don’t need to set everything up perfectly. You need to see it work.

Step 1: Set Up Your Studio (5 minutes)

  1. Go to Settings > Studio Profile on the web app (app.tattoostudiopro.com)
  2. Add your studio name, full address (street, city, state, zip), phone, and email
  3. Upload your logo if you have one handy (you can skip this for now)
  4. Hit Save

That’s it. Everything else in Settings can wait.

Step 2: Add One Service (3 minutes)

Services are what your clients are booking. Add just one to start, you can add more later.

  1. Go to Settings > Offerings
  2. Open the Services tab
  3. Click New Service
  4. Give it a name (e.g., “Tattoo Session” or “Piercing”), pick a category, and set a default price (flat or hourly)
  5. Save

Step 3: Add Your First Client (5 minutes)

  1. Click Clients in the navigation
  2. Click New Client
  3. Fill in the required fields (name, sex, date of birth, full address, phone, and email)
  4. Save

Step 4: Create an Appointment (5 minutes)

  1. Click Appointments in the navigation
  2. Click New Appointment
  3. Select the client you just added
  4. Choose your service, pick a date and time, and save

You now have an appointment on the books. That’s the core of what Tattoo Studio Pro does every day.

Step 5: Check In That Client (5 minutes)

When a client arrives:

  1. Open the Tattoo Studio Pro mobile app on a tablet at your front desk
  2. The Home screen is your client-facing kiosk. The client taps New Client (first time) or Returning Client (existing) to start their intake form
  3. Or, if you prefer to handle it yourself, tap the menu icon (top-left), enter your PIN, and use the Queue page to check the client in from the management view
  4. Once they show up in the queue, you can process them through checkout when their session is done

On web

  1. Go to the Queue section
  2. Click Check In to open the check-in modal
  3. Find the appointment and check the client in

What’s Next

Now that you’ve seen the basics work, here’s what to explore during your trial:

  • Intake forms - Go to Settings > Form Editor to customize your digital consent forms. Clients sign on your tablet before their session. This is one of the most-used features.
  • Payments - Go to Settings > Payments to connect Stripe if you want to take card payments or collect deposits through the app.
  • Online Deposits - Once Stripe is connected, you can automatically text new bookings a deposit link so clients can lock in their slot before they arrive.
  • Team - Go to Team Management to invite artists. Each person gets their own login and PIN.
  • SMS Reminders - Appointment reminders go out automatically once you have appointments booked. No setup needed, they’re on by default.
