Switch · Free client data migration

YOU ALREADY KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TRYING TO achieve.

If you've been on Mindbody, Vagaro, Booksy, Acuity, or Square Appointments long enough to have an opinion, you're not shopping for a feature you're missing. You're shopping for one client record that survives the handoff from request to checkout. Tattoo Studio Pro is the system most studios wish they'd evaluated first. We move your data over for free.

Is the front desk running the day, or chasing it?

That's the real consolidation question. When a client books online, fills out their intake, gets reminded, checks in, gets tattooed, pays, and tips, every one of those moments is either a clean handoff or a re-type. The platform you're leaving has re-types built into the workflow. The defaults don't carry the client record from one stage to the next, and your staff absorbs the difference.

Consolidation isn't a slogan. It's whether the client record you started this morning is the same one you close out tonight, without anyone copying anything by hand. That's the bar. Here's where Tattoo Studio Pro stands against it.

The pipeline runs end to end.

Website request, artist review, approved booking, deposit link, SMS reminders, check-in, session, checkout, tip, follow-up, review prompt. Every step hands off to the next on the same client record. You don't reconcile, because nothing left the system to be reconciled.

The piece still closing. Two-way client messaging as a true ongoing thread is the part we're still building. Today the inbox is a connector that routes booking requests forward through the pipeline. Full back-and-forth messaging is on the roadmap. If reliable two-way SMS is your top-of-list ask, we'll be straight with you about where we are. Everything else in the pipeline above is shipped and running in production studios today.

Why studios switch

What changes when the handoffs disappear.

Consolidation

One client record, every stage

Booking request, form, deposit, reminders, check-in, session, checkout, follow-up. Same client record across every step. Nobody re-types anything between stages. This is the whole point of the switch.

Built for it

Built for tattoo, not adapted

Not a salon app with a tattoo skin. Sessions that span hours and revisits, consent forms with image fields, artist commissions, health-inspector access, deposit policy that actually fits how studios collect. The defaults already make sense.

No per-text

Unlimited SMS reminders

No per-text fees on any plan. Reminders go out automatically. Studios that turn on SMS reminders see no-shows drop 40 to 60 percent. The fee structure on most platforms quietly punishes you for sending the texts that prevent the no-shows.

Free import

We move the data over for you

Client list, appointment history, and consent forms come over from Mindbody, Vagaro, Booksy, Acuity, Square Appointments, or your spreadsheet, as far as the old platform will export it. We handle the import. No fee, no upsell. And it works the other way too: ask us for your data any time and we hand it over, so you are never locked in with us either.

No feature gates

Every feature on every plan

You pay for team size, not unlocks. Reports, POS, online deposits, multi-artist support, the booking pipeline, all of it ships on the $29/month plan. No artificial wall between you and the feature you came for.

Any device

Tablets, phones, web, the front desk

iPad and Android tablets at the artist station, phones for the floor, web for the front desk and the books at home. Mobile app works offline and syncs when you reconnect.

What the migration actually looks like

No flag day. Run both side by side until you're ready.

Week 1

Start the trial in parallel

30 days free, no credit card. Keep your current platform running while you set Tattoo Studio Pro up alongside it. No one is asking you to flip overnight.

Week 1

Send us your export

Pull an export from your current platform. Email it to us. We map your fields, preserve your notes, bring over appointment history where the export contains it, and flag anything that needs a call. No spreadsheet wrestling on your end.

Week 2

Set up your studio

Services, forms, team logins, deposit rules. About an hour, once. The founder call is in here if you want a second pair of eyes on the setup.

Week 3+

Cut over when you are ready

Most studios run both systems for a week or two until the team is comfortable, then turn the old one off. No deadline from us. Your billing on the old platform is yours to manage.

What you get now, and what you lock in when you stay.

Two lists. The first is yours the moment you start a trial. The second is what you keep for good once you convert to a paid plan. We split them out so there's nothing fuzzy about it.

When you start the trial:

Every feature, 30 days, no credit card. Nothing gated, nothing locked behind a higher tier. You see the whole platform.

Free data migration. Your client list, appointment history, and consent forms come over from your current platform, as far as that platform will export it. Some will hand over years of appointment history; some will only give you the client list. We work with whatever you can pull, map the fields, preserve the notes, and flag anything that needs a call. You export, we handle the import. No fee, no upsell. And the same door swings out: ask us for your data whenever you want it and we hand it over, in full. You came in because the last platform made leaving hard. We're not going to do that to you.

A 1:1 with Paul, the founder. 30 minutes mapping your current workflow against Tattoo Studio Pro. Not a generic demo, not a CSM, not a chatbot. Paul personally. He takes around 20 of these a month, so they go fast.

When you convert to a paid plan, you also keep:

Grandfather pricing, locked for life. Whatever rate you sign up at is yours, even when prices rise for new customers. The platform you're leaving probably re-prices you every year. This one doesn't.

A free portfolio website template, plus a year of hosting. Pick a template, set it up on your domain or a Tattoo Studio Pro subdomain, managed hosting for the year. If you've been putting off the website too, this is where it gets handled.

If you just signed up somewhere else.

The cost of staying with the wrong platform is higher than the cost of what you've already paid into the new one. If you committed to a tattoo platform recently and you're already second-guessing it, that doubt is worth more than the setup time you'd be writing off. The 30-day trial is free and runs in parallel with whatever you're paying for now, so it costs you nothing to find out whether the doubt was right. Email us. If you're mid-setup somewhere else, we'll help you figure out what's worth carrying over and what isn't.

One honest note for larger studios.

If you need real inventory management today, tracking ink, needles, and retail product across multiple locations, Tattoo Studio Pro isn't the right product for you yet. We'd rather tell you that directly than charm you into a trial that ends in churn six months from now. If inventory isn't a meaningful part of how you run, we're a strong fit and most of this page is for you.

Switching questions.

What does the migration actually cost?

Nothing. Free data migration is part of the switch. You export from your current platform, send us the file, we do the import: client contact info, appointment history, notes, consent forms, as far as that platform will export them. Some platforms hand over everything, some only the client list. We work with whatever you can pull and tell you up front what made it across.

Will I lose the conversation history with my clients?

It depends on what your current platform exports. If the messages are in the export, they come over. If they are not, we will tell you up front and help you decide what to preserve manually. We would rather be straight about that than surprise you on day one.

Can I run both platforms at the same time during the trial?

Yes, and most studios do. The 30-day trial overlaps whatever you are paying for now. Run them side by side for a week or two, decide on your own timeline, then cut the old one off when the team is comfortable. No pressure from us either way.

I just signed up for another platform last month. Is it too late to switch?

No. The cost of staying with the wrong platform is higher than the setup time you have already put in. The trial runs in parallel, so trying Tattoo Studio Pro costs you nothing while you decide. Email us and we will help you figure out what is worth carrying over. (If you bought a payment terminal, Stripe-based readers pair with Tattoo Studio Pro; we will be straight with you if yours does not.)

How is this different from the platform I am leaving?

Most of the platforms you are leaving were built for hair, nails, or general appointments and adapted to tattoo. Tattoo Studio Pro was built for tattoo studios from the start. The difference shows up in the defaults. Sessions that span hours, consent forms with image fields, deposit policies that match how studios actually collect, artist commissions that match how shops actually pay.

What if you go out of business?

Bootstrapped, profitable, five years in, around 300 paying studios, founder still on the calls. And your data is yours regardless: ask us for it any time, including after canceling, and we hand over the full set. We are not going anywhere, but if we ever did, you would walk out with everything. The whole reason you are reading this page is that leaving the last platform was hard. We are not going to be that platform.

What if I need real inventory management?

We do not have full inventory tracking yet (ink, needles, retail across locations). If that is core to how you run, Tattoo Studio Pro is not the right fit today. We would rather tell you that than put you through a trial that ends in churn. If inventory is not central, we are a strong fit.

Will my team need training?

A few minutes per role for most things. The interface follows what artists and front-desk staff actually do during the day, so the muscle memory transfers fast. Help docs, in-app chat, and the founder call cover the rest.

Do I need a credit card to start?

Not on the web. Sign up at app.tattoostudiopro.com, get the full 30 days, and decide before any charge.

What if my current platform is not on your supported list?

Email us at <a href="mailto:support@tattoostudiopro.com">support@tattoostudiopro.com</a> with a sample export. If it is structured client data, we can almost always map it.

Keep exploring.
