How we put these together.
Every factual claim in these comparisons is checked against the other platform's own published pricing and feature pages. Not against roundup articles, not against what a competitor's pricing used to be two years ago. When a vendor changes their pricing, ours goes stale until we catch it, so each post carries the date it was last verified.
We are not a neutral party and we are not pretending to be. We built Tattoo Studio Pro and we think it is the right tool for most tattoo and piercing studios. But several of these comparisons say plainly where another platform is the better fit, because a studio that signs up for the wrong reasons leaves within a month and nobody wins.
Found something out of date? Tell us at support@tattoostudiopro.com and we will correct it. If a figure here contradicts what you see on a vendor's own pricing page, believe theirs.
What actually matters in the comparison.
Most booking platforms are built for hair salons or spas and adapted to tattoo workflows afterward. Whichever way you go, these are the five things worth testing before you commit.
- Consent forms attached to the client record. Not a separate upload, not a paper form scanned in later.
- Deposit capture at the moment of booking. Not a manual invoice sent afterward.
- Multi-artist scheduling with individual calendars. Each artist with their own availability and commission tracking.
- Day-of queue management. Walk-ins, reschedules, and running late.
- A POS that understands commissions. Studio and artist split tracked on every sale.
These are the same criteria we use in every comparison on this page, applied the same way each time.
