Your subscription plan determines how many staff accounts you can have. All plans include access to every feature - the only variable between plans is the staff account limit.
Viewing Your Plan
Go to Settings > Subscription.
Your Plan Card
Shows:
- Plan name and tier (e.g., “Tattoo Studio Crew”)
- Status badge: Active, Trial (with end date), or Expired
- Number of staff accounts included
- Legacy plan indicator (if applicable)
Billing Card
Shows:
- Plan price
- Billing period: Monthly or Yearly
- Renewal date
Note: Billing history and payment method management are handled by the platform where you subscribed - App Store, Google Play, or Stripe. These cannot be changed from within the Tattoo Studio Pro app.
Choosing a Plan
Plan cards show all available tiers with pricing.
Monthly vs. Yearly: Toggle between billing periods using the tab switcher. Yearly billing saves 30%. An annual savings banner may appear if you’re currently on monthly billing.
EMPIRE Plan: For studios needing 25+ staff accounts or multiple locations. Click “Contact Sales” for custom pricing.
Changing Your Plan
- Settings > Subscription
- Select your preferred billing period (monthly/yearly)
- Click the pricing card for the plan you want
- Complete checkout
If you subscribed via App Store or Google Play: You’ll be redirected to manage the change through that platform - Tattoo Studio Pro doesn’t handle the payment directly.

Refunds
Refunds are processed by the platform that took the charge, not by us directly. The right path depends on where you subscribed.
App Store (Apple)
Apple handles all refunds for App Store purchases. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Google Play
For help getting a refund on a Play Store purchase, email support@tattoostudiopro.com from the email address tied to your Google Play account, and include the amount charged and the date of the charge.
Web (Stripe)
Email support@tattoostudiopro.com with your studio name and the charge date. We can issue Stripe refunds directly.
Payment Failed
If a renewal payment failed, your data is safe - nothing is deleted when a subscription lapses. Update your payment method through the platform you subscribed on:
- App Store: Settings app on iPhone/iPad → your name → Subscriptions → Tattoo Studio Pro → update payment. Apple support: reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Google Play: Play Store app → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Tattoo Studio Pro → update payment. Direct link: play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions.
- Web (Stripe): Open the Stripe billing portal from Settings > Subscription > Manage Subscription, or go directly.
After updating on any platform, open Tattoo Studio Pro and go to Settings > Subscription > Restore Purchases to sync.
Promotional Offers and Loyalty Discounts
Promotional Offer Banner: If an offer is available for your account, a banner appears above the pricing cards. Click it to claim the discount before selecting a plan.
Loyalty Coupon: If a loyalty discount is available, it can be applied directly to your active subscription without going through checkout.
Expired Subscription
When a subscription expires:
- Limited access: View-only access to existing data
- Cannot: Create new appointments, process payments, add new clients
- Data is safe: All client info, forms, and records are preserved
- A grace period may apply - check your email for renewal notices
To renew:
- Settings > Subscription
- Click “Renew” or select a plan
- Complete payment through your platform (App Store, Google Play, or Stripe)
Staff Limits
- Only active and invited staff count toward the limit
- The manager account does NOT count
- Health Official role does NOT count
Example: A plan with 10 staff = 1 manager + 10 staff = 11 total people who can use Tattoo Studio Pro.
To stay under your limit:
- Deactivate staff who have left
- Remove invited staff who haven’t accepted (they still count)
- Upgrade your plan if you need more slots

- Contact support if the discrepancy persists

- Confirm the subscription is actually active on the platform you subscribed through - use the step-by-step instructions above for your platform
- If the platform shows Active but the app still shows Expired, this is a RevenueCat sync issue - contact support
Payment failed and you need to restore access
- See Payment Failed: How to Restore Access for step-by-step instructions by platform (iOS, Android, or web)

Subscription active on platform but app shows expired
- This is a sync issue between the platform and RevenueCat (our subscription management layer)
- Contact support with a screenshot of your active subscription on the platform - the team can force a sync
