The Portfolio page in the Account Portal is your control center for the free Portfolio Template included with every Tattoo Studio Pro account. From here you can claim your username, customize your site design, manage your gallery, and publish your portfolio live.
Access it at account.tattoostudiopro.com/portfolio.
For a full walkthrough of the Portfolio Template features including gallery management and SEO settings, see Portfolio Template (Free).
What Is the Portfolio Template?
The Portfolio Template is a free single-page website included with all Tattoo Studio Pro accounts. It is designed for tattoo artists who want a clean, professional online presence without paying for a full website. You can:
- Showcase a gallery of your tattoo work
- Share your bio, style, and contact info
- Publish instantly to a
portfolio.inksubdomain - Connect a custom domain if you have one (requires a hosting plan)
The portfolio is separate from any premium website template you may purchase. It’s free for everyone.
Claiming Your Username
Your portfolio lives at a URL based on your chosen username, for example yourname.portfolio.ink. You need to claim a username before you can publish.
To claim your username:
- Go to the Portfolio page in the account portal
- Enter your preferred username in the username field
- Click Check Availability to see if it is taken
- If available, click Claim Username to reserve it
Username rules:
- Letters, numbers, and hyphens only
- No spaces or special characters
- Must be unique across all portfolio sites
- Cannot be changed once claimed, so choose carefully
Once you claim a username, it cannot be changed. Your portfolio URL is tied to it. Pick something that reflects your name or brand and that you are happy with long-term.
Customizing Your Portfolio
After claiming a username, click Open Portfolio Editor to customize your site. The editor lets you adjust:
Content
- Hero title and tagline - Your name and a short description of your style
- About section - A bio, your specialties, and how long you have been tattooing
- Contact info - How clients can reach you or book with you
- Social links - Instagram, TikTok, and other profile links
Design
- Accent color - Choose from preset colors or enter a custom hex code
- Font - Select from a curated set of fonts suited to tattoo artist branding
Gallery
- Upload images of your tattoo work
- Drag to reorder images in the gallery
- Remove images you no longer want to show
SEO
- Set a custom page title and meta description
- These help your portfolio appear in search results when people look for tattoo artists in your area
Publishing Your Portfolio
Once you are happy with your design and content, click Publish in the editor. Your portfolio goes live immediately at your portfolio.ink URL. Every time you make changes and want them to go live, click Publish again.
Custom Domain
If you want your portfolio at your own domain (like yourname.com) rather than the default portfolio.ink subdomain, you need a website hosting plan. Hosting lets you connect any domain you own.
For instructions on connecting a custom domain to your portfolio, see Website Hosting.
Troubleshooting
My preferred username is taken
Usernames are first-come, first-served. Try a variation - adding your city, a middle initial, or the word “tattoo” or “ink” often frees up a good option.
My published portfolio is not showing my latest changes
Make sure you clicked Publish after saving your changes in the editor. Saving in the editor saves a draft - publishing sends it live. Allow a minute or two for changes to propagate after publishing.
The Portfolio page is not loading
Try refreshing the page. If the issue persists, check that you are signed in to your account. The Portfolio page is only accessible to signed-in users.
