Edit the HTML
Open the HTML files in any text editor. Replace the placeholder text with your studio's information: studio name, about content, services, contact info, social links.

Customize colors
Open styles.css and find the :root section at the top. All colors are CSS variables. Change them to match your brand and the entire site updates.

Add your images
Replace placeholder images with your own. JPG or PNG, 800-1200px wide for most images. Optimize for web to keep file sizes small.

Set up the contact form
The contact form needs a backend. Use Formspree (free tier), Netlify Forms (free if you host on Netlify), or your own backend.

Does the free template have online booking?
No. The free template is plain HTML with a contact form that you connect to a form service like Formspree. If you want a booking page, the Artist ($99) and Studio ($199) templates include one: switch it on in the admin panel, paste in the embed code from your booking system, and every Book button on the site points at it.
Do I need a Tattoo Studio Pro subscription to use the templates?
No. Every template stands on its own and you can host it wherever you like. The booking page on the Artist and Studio templates takes an embed code from whatever booking system you already use, whether that is Tattoo Studio Pro, Calendly, Acuity, or Square.
Why are you giving it away?
We want tattoo studios to have good websites. If you outgrow this template and want something more advanced, we hope you'll think of us. But there's no pressure. Use this forever if it works for you.
What's the difference between this and the paid templates?
The paid templates ($99 for artists, $199 for studios) add a visual admin panel (no coding required), a booking page, a dark and light theme switcher, more pages, and settings backup and restore. This free template is for people who prefer to edit code directly.
Can I remove the footer credit?
Yes. The 'Design by ZADIE' link in the footer can be removed. We appreciate it if you leave it, but it's not required.
Do you offer support for this template?
This is a free template, so we don't offer dedicated support. The code is straightforward, and there are plenty of HTML/CSS tutorials online if you get stuck. If you want hands-on help, we offer template customization services starting at $299.
Can I use this for a client's website?
Yes. You can use this template to build websites for clients. Just remember you're responsible for customization and support.
